What are the responsibilities and job description for the CRNA position at Willis - Knighton Health System?
WK Bossier Health Center is a great place for both the new graduate and the experienced CRNA to practice!! It provides the new graduate with a broad range of Nurse Anesthesia experience, helping develop the skills necessary to not only practice anesthesia, but to be more-than-competent in any situation that might arise in their career. WK Bossier Health Center is also an excellent choice for the experienced CRNA --providing challenging and rewarding opportunities for the CRNA in order to increase proficiency, gain knowledge and experience growth in their Nurse Anesthesia practice!
WK Bossier Health Center consists of 7 ORs in the main hospital and one OB suite. Willis-Knighton's newest state-of-the-art outpatient surgery center, WK Medical Pavilion, opened in February 2008 and added an additional 4 ORs to the Bossier complex. Case types between all of our surgical areas range from elective, outpatient procedures to complex neurovascular, orthopedic, laparoscopic and cardiovascular procedures, as well as OB.
Supervising the CRNA group is a staff of 4 excellent Anesthesiologists who are willing to teach the new graduate and who will also allow the experienced CRNA the freedom and autonomy he or she deserves. New graduates will find our surgical staff to be patient, readily accepting of their practice and easy to work with during their transition to experienced CRNA; while the seasoned CRNA will not only appreciate the acceptance of CRNA-based anesthesia, but also be very grateful for the quality of surgeons affiliated with all of Willis-Knighton's Bossier surgical areas.
