What are the responsibilities and job description for the Environmental Technician position at Willis - Knighton Health System?
Daily cleaning and supplying patient rooms, wards, nursing stations, lounges, laboratories, bathrooms, offices, and any other areas assigned in accordance with standard procedures of Housekeeping Department and in accordance with the
facility's objectives. Will use cleaning devices including 16 oz. wet mops, small wringers, dusters, household type vacuum cleaners, and other necessary tools, products, and supplies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must pass pre-employment and annual physical examination.
Must, after brief training, be able to demonstrate the correct use of chemicals, supplies and tools assigned.
Previous environmental experience preferred.
Must understand the potential hazards presented by the use of chemicals to
self and to others as is outlined in the Department's Written hazard Communication Program.
