What are the responsibilities and job description for the Environmental Technician position at Willis - Knighton Health System?
The individual will use cleaning devices including 16oz wet mops, wringers, dusters, vacuum cleaners, cleaning chemicals and other necessary tools, products and supplies. This job requires the applicant to be able to exert 50 pounds of force occasionally, 20 pounds frequently and 10 pounds constantly.
Must pass pre-employment and annual physical examination.
Must, after brief training, be able to demonstrate the correct use of chemicals, supplies and tools assigned.
Previous environmental experience preferred.
Must understand the potential hazards presented by the use of chemicals to
self and to others as is outlined in the Department's Written hazard Communication Program.
The candidate selected for this position will be required to attend a hospital and a departmental orientation upon hire.
