The Service Technician Apprenticeship is a full-time paid field position working in commercial and industrial HVAC. Our apprenticeship program is Department of Labor certified and the candidate will receive in-class training at virtually no cost to the student. The apprenticeship is a 5-year program. Salary is on a scale and credit may be given for previous HVAC mechanical experience or schooling.
The HVAC Service Technician Apprentice is responsible for providing HVAC services to commercial and industrial customers including troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing HVAC systems. Establishing and maintaining positive communication with customers, project managers, and account managers is essential in this job opportunity.

Required Education, Skills, and Experience:
- Possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent
- A passing pre-employment drug screening and participation in a drug-free workplace
- Has a current driver’s license and an impeccable driving record
- Ability to pass a background check
- Local Union 72 membership or willingness and ability to join Local Union 72
- Working proficiency with computers (i.e. Smartphone, iPad, laptop)
- Ability and willingness to complete all required electronic paperwork accurately and on time
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Associate degree or Technical school Certificate or Degree
- EPA 608 Universal
- OSHA 30 Certification
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position, working an 8-hour day, five days a week, plus on-call duties. Work will typically be Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, but can change daily based on customer needs. Standby duties are required for this position. Overtime and irregular hours are frequent. Daily travel to greater Atlanta, GA area service locations is required. This position is highly physical and requires employees to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds, work indoors and outdoors, and in cramped or tight spaces.
