What are the responsibilities and job description for the Men's Basketball Asst Coach position at Williston State College?
Location: Williston, ND
Status: Part-time
Reports to: Head Men’s Basketball Coach
Responsibilities:
- Abide by the rules and regulations established by Williston State College, the state of North Dakota, the MonDak Athletic Conference, the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA)
- On floor coaching of position play as well as team defense and offense.
- Recruiting student-athletes from North Dakota and the surrounding region.
- Work collegially with faculty, staff, and administration to ensure student athletes maintain high levels of academic performance and degree completion
- Promote the athletic program through community events, and public service.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the head coach and/or athletic director
Minimum Qualifications:
- Strong leadership, proven interpersonal and communication skills
- Solid planning and organizational abilities
- Background in basketball as a manager, player, coach
- College coaching experience (NJCAA, NAIA, NCAA)
Compensation: $6,000 per year
