The New York office of Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP is looking for a full-time Food Services/ Pantry Assistant to support the Food services Department. Willkie is an elite international law firm of approximately 1,200 lawyers located in 15 offices in six countries.

The Food Services Assistant will assist in providing food services for all occasions throughout the Firm. This entails setting up conference rooms for meetings with food, beverages and condiments, as well as, clearing and cleaning conference rooms after meetings. The Food Services Assistant will take phone orders for attorneys and working with co-workers to create an operation that is smooth and efficient. Candidates should be available Monday through Friday from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm ET.
Responsibilities
- Deliver food and beverages to designated conference rooms as posted on schedule. Clear rooms of leftovers, discard disposables, return dishes to kitchen and put away carts and supplies.
- Maintain kitchen station Load and run dishwasher Collect recycling from all pantries. Friday clean ups, thorough cleaning of department, washing floors, etc.
- Obtain general supplies from Supplies Department as needed.
- Assist in stocking cupboards after deliveries to conference rooms.
- Report overtime as required.
- Conduct check of conference rooms for dishes and articles left from previous day conferences.
- Empty trash several times a day.
- Assist in inventory of stock.
- Place food orders, lobby pick-ups and making deliveries.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED
- Banquet or catering experience
ADA Requirements
- Ability to sit at a desk most of the working day and walk short distances
- Needs manual dexterity, speed and accuracy in handling office equipment
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in an atmosphere of frequent interruption
- Ability to work in close proximity to other individuals
- Ability to carry light [to moderate] objects, e.g., files, small objects and supplies a short distance.
- Must be able to lift, carry and move objects [up to 15/20/25 lbs OR in excess of 25/30 lbs]

Pay Range
USD $36,400.00 - USD $36,400.00 /Yr.Pay Range Statement
The salary range for this role represents the Firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications and location.
