We are one of the premier private golf clubs located in coastal Stuart, Florida. Our beautiful Club is looking for part-time and full-time Bartenders. If you are an energetic and enthusiastic individual, who has experience in bartending, maybe even worked at a private club before, and love golf, this is the Club for you! We offer free meals to our staff, as well as paid sick time to seasonal staff and free golf (schedule applies)!
Essential Job Functions:
- Attends members in private club by performing duties, such as the following: Takes orders for food and beverages and serves members in dining room, clubrooms or cabana.
- Mixes and Serves beverages to patrons seated at tables in bar or cocktail lounge.
- May take orders for beverage and serve light meals and hors d'oeuvres.
- May request identification from customers when legal age is questioned.
- May request member’s name and/or member number for billing.
- Serves meals to patrons according to established rules of etiquette, working in formal setting: Presents menu to diner, suggesting dinner courses, appropriate wines, and answering questions regarding food preparation.
- Writes order on check and keys it into the computer to inform kitchen of order and serves courses from kitchen and service bars.
- Garnishes and decorates dishes preparatory to serving.
- Observes diners to respond to any additional requests and to determine when meal has been completed.
- Brings cards, chips, amusement devices, candies, and other articles as requested.
- Places orders for clubroom reservation.
- Delivers telephone, telegraph, and personal messages.
- Removes card tables, sweeps and dusts furniture and woodwork, vacuums rugs, and otherwise keeps rooms and halls clean.
- Performs opening and closing inventories as designated by management
- Participates in monthly inventory of food and beverage items
- Assists with setting up for major events, remote bars and satellite stations
- Pulls all glassware from the store room and kitchen areas to re-stock bar requirements
- Cuts fruit and garnishes in accordance with volume forecasted for service
Knowledge, skills and abilities: Prior Club Experience preferred but not necessary. Prior experience in fine dining, casual and banquets required.
Education: High School Graduate or GED equivalent
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Licenses and Special Requirements
• Alcohol beverage certification.
• Food safety certification.
• Of legal age to prepare and serve alcoholic beverages.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
• Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist or reach.
• Push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds.
• Continuous repetitive motions.
• Work in hot, humid and noisy environment.
