Job Summary
The Youth/Discipleship Pastor plays a vital role in nurturing the spiritual growth and development of young people and adults within the church community. This position involves leading youth programs, providing Christian counseling, discipleship, connection and fostering a safe and supportive environment for youth to explore their faith. This role will work closely with families, volunteers, and church leadership to create engaging and impactful experiences for the youth.
Duties
- Develop and implement youth ministry programs that align with the church's mission and vision.
- Lead weekly youth gatherings, including Bible studies, worship services, discipleship classes and fellowship events.
- Plan and coordinate special events such as retreats, mission trips, and community service projects.
-Oversee small groups, build and implement more community engagement
-Implement church text app for visitors, new comers, and long standing members.
- Provide crisis intervention and management support to youth and adults in need, offering guidance and counseling as necessary.
- Educate youth on Christian teachings through engaging presentations and discussions.
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and church members regarding youth activities and needs.
- Recruit, train, and support volunteers to assist in youth/Discipleship ministry initiatives.
- Present relevant topics during services or events to inspire and motivate young attendees.
- Foster a safe environment where youth feel comfortable expressing themselves and discussing their faith journey.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership skills with a passion for mentoring young people.
-Ba Degree in related study preferred.
-3 years experience minimum required in a leadership role, preferably Youth Pastor, Discipleship Pastor, or Connections Pastor
-Filled with the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
-Hungry for revival and the fulness of the presence of God.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively engage with youth and their families.
- Experience in crisis management and intervention strategies is highly desirable.
- Proficient in event planning to create memorable experiences for the youth community.
- Background in Christian counseling or related fields is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to present information clearly and compellingly in various settings.
- A deep understanding of Christian teachings and a commitment to living out one's faith authentically.
- Previous experience working with youth in a church or community setting is an advantage.
-Experience preaching the gospel preferred.
-Gets along well with a team, and understands followship and servant leadership.

Pay: $42,336.00 - $50,586.00 per year
