What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Clubhouse Manager position at Willow Creek Country Club?
We are seeking enthusiastic Assistant Clubhouse Manager to join WILLOW CREEK COUNTRY CLUB. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide excellent customer service and creating experience to our members.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years managing in a Restaurant or Banquet setting (experience in a Fine Dining, Private Club, Hotel or Resort is a plus)
- Experience in training, mentoring, disciplining and overseeing a team of 25-35 employees during fall, winter and spring season. A team of 50-60 employees during the summer season (golf season).
- Skilled at managing multiple departments during the summer season, including Restaurant, Events, and Snack Bar.
- Flexible availability with a willingness to workdays, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and able to follow instructions effectively and capable of delegating tasks and providing clear, straightforward direction to team members.
- Capable of booking, planning, and managing events alongside the Banquet Captain and staff.
- Capable of managing on-the-floor operations while also handling administrative tasks.
- Skilled in creating staff schedules that align with employee availability and business needs, while staying within budget. Experience with ZoomShift scheduling is a plus, but not required
- Experience with Northstar Club Management Software is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience with timecard approvals and payroll processing. Experience with Paylocity is a plus but not required.
- Capable of designing food and drink menus with precise pricing. Setting up buttons in the POS system.
- Responsible for conducting monthly beverage inventory and weekly ordering of beverages and select food items.
- Mid to high-level wine and liquor knowledge is preferred, but not mandatory.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.
- Committed to daily staff training and continuously seeking improvements to enhance the dining experience for Members.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Outgoing personality with comfort in speaking at employee meetings and engaging with Members.

- Available to work late to finalize billing for events (Member Events, Weddings, Corporate) and assist with closing the Restaurant End of the Day Report.
- Available to stay late to secure and arm the building.
Summary :
Work-Life Balance :
During the golf season, you can expect an average of about 45-50 hours per week. Some weeks may be shorter, while others could be longer. You'll be managing different business cycles, allowing you to balance work with your personal life. We understand that family is a priority, but work is also important. The typical schedule will be Wednesday through Sunday from 12 PM to 10 PM, though this may adjust based on club activities and events.

Clubhouse Operation Information :
January- February (Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Open Wednesday through Sunday)
Annual closure during the first two weeks of January for the year-end reports and clean-up.
March-November (Closed on Mondays only but open on Private Golf Outing, Open Tuesday through Sunday)
Golf Season : May- October subject to change with weather conditions
December : Busy month with Holiday Parties
