Responsibilities

• Coordinate food orders between the kitchen and dining area to ensure timely delivery.
• Monitor the quality of food being prepared to meet safety and presentation standards.
• Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, ensuring adherence to food safety regulations.
• Communicate effectively with cooks, servers, and management to facilitate smooth operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the expediting area.
• Support the culinary team during peak hours by helping with various tasks as required.
• Ensure that all food items are plated correctly before they leave the kitchen.

Experience

• Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with culinary practices, including food handling and preparation techniques.
• Knowledge of food safety standards is essential.
• Experience in hospitality or banquet services is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with kitchen staff and servers.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 35 per week
