Willow Hill Supply, LLC, is seeking a full-time sewing & serging machine operator in Winchester, Kentucky.
Established in 2011, Willow Hill Supply is a small manufacturer of embroidered patches, printed goods and a reseller of quality tactical gear. We do business under the brands Tactical Gear Junkie and Kentucky Emblem. We pride ourselves in having the highest quality products and being customer forward in all aspects of our business.
We offer a substantial selection of embroidered patches and specialize in custom embroidery, made in the USA. We proudly serve industries including military, police, and fire, to name a few.
Applicant will be operating a serging machine to apply a finished edge to various shaped embroidered patches. Training will be provided.
JOB DUTIES:
- Operate serging machine to add finished border to patches
- Operate a serging machine for extended periods of time
- Be able to sit for an extended period of time
- Improve your processes and yourself each day
- Complete daily and periodic maintenance of your machine
- Track performance metrics
- Excel at working alone and as part of a team to reach a greater goal
- Meet and exceed all quality expectations
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of sewing/serging experience in a commercial setting
- Knowledge of sewing/serging machines
- Attention to detail and an eye for quality
- Ability to work independently and as a team.
- Good hand-eye-foot coordination
- Able to read and comprehend basic instructions and production paperwork. Proficient knowledge of basic English, spelling, and punctuation. Ability to write legibly to complete paperwork.
- Solid understanding of basic math including accuracy with adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot the following equipment with proficiency: Sewing machine, serging machine, bar tacker, automatic sewing machine, and calculating devices.
- Basic mechanical knowledge including use of a screwdriver, wrenches and other tools and devices to perform general technical and mechanical maintenance.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the candidate is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required include close, mid-range, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee must be able to sit for up to eight (8) hours at a time. Employee may be required to stoop, kneel, or crouch, and lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
Job Type: Full-time, First Shift.
Hours Monday-Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
