Role Description
- This is a full-time on-site role for a Certified Nursing Instructor - LPN at Willow Valley Communities. The role involves implementing curriculum for the NATCEP Program while orienting, training and evaluating the nursing assistants who are attending the Program. The instructor provides direct supervision for the nursing assistants who are being taught to provide excellence in the care they are giving to the residents. The instructor will play a vital role in training and supporting nursing staff to deliver high-quality care to our residents.
Qualifications
- LPN licensure and relevant certification
- At least two years nursing experience, with minimum of 1 year of experience in long-term care with a minimum of 200 hours over the course of one full year. “Teaching the Educator” certification or registration for this program.
- Experience in education/training, preferred. Knowledge of and appropriate responses to the physical and emotional needs and the behavioral issues of seniors.
- Knowledge of infection control procedures, universal precautions, HIV, HBV, and other bloodborne and airborne pathogens and isolation procedures.
- Knowledge and application of body mechanics
- CPR certified, emergency and first aid administration and heat and cold applications.
- Computer literacy including Word, Excel and Power Point.
