What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Manager position at WILLOWBROOK ARTS CAMP?
Fill your summer days with meaningful, varied and interesting work as Willowbrook Arts Camp's Facilities Manager! Work at our storage facilities and camp location in collaboration with the program director in managing all aspects of preparation, set up, management, take down, and inventorying camp equipment, tents and supplies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
background in providing handy-person service, facilities management, maintenance, and/or event project management
experienced with power tools, towing, grey water management, operating heavy machinery, and light construction a plus
must be able to safely maneuver heavy items in a careful manner
comfortable working within an active summer camp environment, must pass background check and complete virtual pre camp training
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Tow and park utility trailers and a flatbed
Set up, maintain, and take down entire camp infrastructure at a public park including: temporary chain link fencing around 3.5 acres, commercial tents and stages, sink systems with grey water management, garbage/recycling, etc working with vendors as needed
Safely lift, move, and place heavy equipment such as fencing, pottery wheels, bales of straw, water tanks, etc.
- Safely set up and maintain outdoor power cords, water systems using hoses and splitters, including two pottery sinks with traps to capture clay debris

- Work closely with Maintenance/Security staff to maintain camp assets and equipment throughout camp season to ensure good working order, identify need for repairs and replacement. Conduct daily inspections of all camp property, tents, water/sink systems, to ensure mechanical soundness and cleanliness; report issues promptly.

Complete regular maintenance of gray water capture and removal systems using holding tanks
- Support camper drop off and pick up with daily placement and removal of A frame signs.

- Operate equipment safely and report any unsafe work conditions or practices to the Executive Director

- Recognize and respond effectively to emergencies; address accidents and incidents according to Willowbrook policy and procedures

- Keep appropriate records of inventory and maintenance service on all Willowbrook equipment and property

- Perform various daily janitorial duties, including trash and recycling removal

- Work with maintenance and security staff to ensure camp is locked securely each night
*
- Recommend and occasionally oversee sale, repair or discarding of unneeded equipment

- Act as a steward of Willowbrook's mission, vision, and values by training, modeling, and promoting sustainable behaviors and collaborative operations

- Perform other facilities related duties as they arise, or as requested, directed or assigned by the Program Director
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
