What are the responsibilities and job description for the Air/Ocean Custom Import Analyst position at Willson International?
Description of Role:
The Import Analyst will ensure that International Air and Ocean imports are cleared promptly and efficiently through Canada/US Customs through the coordination of import and export shipping activities necessary to release freight.
Clear shipments electronically through Customs
Confirm entries.
Ensure all entries are submitted during time limits to avoid penalties.
Answer all client inquiries via phone or email in a timely and courteous manner.
Perform clerical duties such as filing, preparing mail and data entry.
All other duties as assigned.
Key Qualifications:
High School Diploma required.
Minimum 2-3 years releasing goods in a customs brokerage environment as an HVS Import Analyst – AIR/OCEAN
Customer Service experience in an office environment
Exposure to the Transportation industry an asset
CCS designation is an asset.
Proficiency in MS Office, database and data entry skills is required.
Strong communication skills – verbal and written is required.
Problem solving, accuracy, and attention to detail is required.
Salary : $48,000 - $71,000
