Currently, our Raleigh, North Carolina office is seeking a Workers' Compensation Paralegal who will assist the attorney by providing clerical and research support services including document preparation and review; interviewing clients and witnesses; research, investigations, fact checking; and trial preparation.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Conduct research to support legal proceedings;
- Assist with the drafting and reviewing legal documents, document preparation and correspondence, file motions and pleadings according to judicial procedures;
- Prepare, organize, store, and retrieve case files, which may include evidence, exhibits, depositions, pleadings, and other items;
- Investigate facts to help in the negotiation of legal disputes, research and analyze statutes, regulations, legal articles, judicial decisions, and other legal sources; provide written analysis to attorneys;
- Monitor and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- Gather and analyze intake information and documentation, such as medical records, bills, etc.; record and store client information;
- Provide excellent customer service & client contact;
- Meet with attorneys, clients, and other professionals to discuss assigned cases or projects as needed;
- Interview clients and witnesses and prepare summaries of their statements;
- Develop and maintain records regarding billable hours spent on specific cases; maintain Firm billable hours standards;
- Adhere to the Firms Code of Ethics, company policies, and operating principles
