The Wilmette Park District offers Summer Short-term staff the following benefits: Individual Seasonal Beach and Pool Pass, One (1) parking decal for Gillson Beach (over 16 years of age only), Individual Center Fitness Club Membership for June – August the current year of employment.
Job Summary: Under the supervision of the General Manager, the Golf Customer Service Representative is responsible for selling pro shop items, collecting fees, and registering golfers.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Actively support the agency's risk management protocol that will effectively control and reduce accidents
-
Promptly report all unsafe actions, practices, or conditions to the immediate supervisor
-
Obey the practical safety rules, regulations, and procedures established by the Safety Committee, and attend and participate in required safety training.

Perform other related duties as assigned, based on agency needs
-
Answer telephone, record incoming calls, and take starting time reservations
-
Register players and assign them their tee time, making sure all golfers check-in
-
Collect all money for green fees, programs, rental, and pro shop sales. Issue receipts for all transactions

Maintain general order and cleanliness in the pro shop
-
Maintain daily records and reports
-
Remain courteous with patrons at all times
-
Perform all job tasks within the rules and guidelines of the Park District safety program
-
Convey information about the Wilmette Golf Course programs to the public
-
Develop positive relationships with participants and patrons
-
Attend staff meetings as scheduled

Work collaboratively with other staff as needed
-
Actively contribute to the Park District's sustainability goals
Safety Responsibilities:

Required Skills/Abilities (Technology, Mathematical, Language):

Education and/or Experience:

Must be 16 years of age or older
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

Must be able to sit or stand for long periods, stoop, bend, and kneel

May spend time indoors, in a controlled environment, and outdoors in an uncontrolled environment

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

Exposure to cleaning and disinfecting supplies
