Housekeeper

Wilson Artisan Wineries is looking for friendly and customer service focused individual to join our dynamic housekeeping team full-time! The Housekeeper performs cleaning duties at all Lodging and other Company properties and assists in maintaining the appearance of the facilities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Cleans as directed by way of mopping, dusting, vacuuming, dishes, trash removal, etc.;
• Washes linens, towels, and other items;
• Clean and disinfect surface areas, restrooms, and kitchen;
• Cleans windows, mirrors, and other glass;
• Keeps public access areas clean and maintains areas to employer standards;
• Assist with all aspects of breakfast service;
• Monitors and reports on the inventory of cleaning supplies;
• Maintains the housekeeping storage rooms neat and organized;
• Reports any maintenance concerns or repairs to the appropriate personnel;
• Represents the Company in a professional manner at all times;
• Contributes to a safe work environment by following all safety procedures;
• Demonstrates personal accountability in following all company policies and procedures;
• Fosters teamwork by working and communicating with others in a collaborative and respectful way;
• Receptive to feedback and communicates concerns in a constructive manner;
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age;
• Must be customer service focused and possess a friendly and helpful demeanor;
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, weekends, holidays and overtime as needed;
• Must have minimum of one year successful, hands-on experience of cleaning houses and/or commercial properties;
• Strong interpersonal awareness to maintain excellent working relationships with co-workers, management, guests, and vendors;
• Self-motivated with a high level of accountability and productivity;
• Strong time management and multi-tasking abilities;
• Highly organized with excellent follow-up and follow through;
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm;
• Able to work effectively as part of a team and also independently;
• Acute attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy;
• Ability to lift/push/pull/move 50 lbs. on a repetitive basis;
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time;
• Able to understand and execute all work instructions and safety procedures;
• Possess and maintain a valid California Class C driver’s license;
• Must have a reliable, insured method of transportation and an insurable driving record;
• Ability to travel and work at multiple company properties.

Language Skills:

• Fluent in Spanish. Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred;
• Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written formats (speak, read, write, type) required;
• Able to communicate in a professional and effective manner at all times.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to prioritize and perform multiple tasks. The employee must be able to lift/move/carry/push/pull a minimum of 50 pounds on a repetitive basis . Must be able to use hands, fingers, and arms to lift/carry/move/stack, grasp, reach regularly. The employee must be able to read, write, smell, see, listen/hear, and speak. Must be able to stand for long periods of time, lift, reach, squat, and climb stairs, The employee is occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel and crouch.

Work Environment:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those encountered by an employee while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee will be exposed to noise from appliances such as vacuum cleaners, blenders, and leaf blowers. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate but may rise during equipment use. Traveling and working at multiple company locations is required.
