Community Banker I - Providence Office
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs all duties of paying and receiving teller and personal banker
- Balances vault on a regular basis
- Performs teller capture duties
- Must be familiar with various electronic delivery channels to coach customers in use of online banking and mobile applications
- Practices sales and service strategies designed to retain existing relationships and enable growth of new relationships and actively participates in follow-up strategies
- Responsible for promotion of bank sales and customer onboarding process through CRM
- Stays abreast of changes/updates to bank products and policies ensuring the accuracy of information provided to customers
- Assists customers in a professional manner
- Adheres to compliance with all federal bank regulations and laws, including those for consumer protection and the Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering Program
- Able to work Saturdays on a rotating basis
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED
- At least 1 year of retail banking experience preferred
- Prior cash handling experience
- Prior customer service experience
- AS400, ten-key calculator, cash handling and customer service experience is helpful
- Must be capable of utilizing various electronic devices to set up new accounts
- Must have the ability to handle a heavy workflow of customers and deal with them in a courteous and professional manner in person or by telephone
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
- Participation in community events and in school banking program are required, working extended hours as needed
