We are looking for a detail-oriented Survey Drafter / Designer to join our survey team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed survey maps, drawings, and plans using MicroStation software. This role involves collaborating with surveyors, engineers, and project managers to ensure survey data is effectively integrated into design documents and project plans.

Key Responsibilities
- Create and edit survey maps, topographic maps, plats, and related documents using MicroStation.
- Convert field data collected by survey teams into detailed and accurate survey drawings.
- Prepare boundary surveys, ALTA/NSPS land title surveys, right-of-way maps, easement plats, and as-built drawings.
- Assist in the development of digital terrain models (DTMs), cross-sections, profiles, and other survey deliverables.
- Ensure all drawings comply with local, state, and federal survey standards and guidelines.
- Collaborate with surveyors, engineers, and project managers to verify and interpret field notes, sketches, and measurements.
- Maintain and organize files and documentation of all survey data and CAD drawings.
- Perform quality control checks to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of drawings and survey deliverables.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to survey drafting.
- Minimum of 3 – 5 years of experience in survey drafting using MicroStation or similar CAD software.
- Strong understanding of surveying principles, land development, and engineering design standards.
- Experience with survey data processing and integration from various survey instruments, including GPS and total stations.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drafting and documentation.
- Ability to interpret survey data, legal descriptions, and technical drawings.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Certification in CAD drafting or Surveying.
- Familiarity with GIS software and applications.
- Experience with Bentley OpenRoads or other civil engineering design software.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal survey standards and regulations.
- UDOT Right of Way experience
