**Employer is the ABC Board and position is eligible for ABC Benefit Offerings**Job Summary: This person will be a part of a team responsible for the day-to-day operation of an ABC store. The duties include, but are not limited to, greeting customers, maintaining positive relationships with customers and helping them find specific products within the store, taking inventory of products and restocking shelves as needed, and managing the POS system to process payments or administer refunds for customers.Hours: This position requires 40-hours per week during the seven-day workweek with occasional overtime if necessary to fulfill the job duties. The workweek consists of days, nights, and weekends. Travel: Travel within Wilson County is occasionally required. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Essential Functions: Greet and assist customers.Enforces the laws and rules of North Carolina regarding the sale of spirituous liquor specifically regarding underage and/or intoxicated persons.Operates a computerized point-of-sale (POS) cash register system.If applicable, assists with the processing of mixed beverage orders and pickup and/or delivery of same.Receive product into the store from the warehouse.Process store-to-store transfers of product.Stocks, cleans, and maintain shelves with product.Assists with updating shelf pricing of product as needed.Assists with cleaning duties such as vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, mopping, cleaning bathrooms, removing trash from the parking lots, etc.Observes customers while in the store.Assists in weekly inventory of product.Counts money in cash till at beginning and end of work shift and balances cash sales against till.Prepares nightly deposit as needed.Takes deposit to the bank and buys change from the bank as needed.Opening and closing the store.Performs other duties as required

Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAbility to learn rules and regulations governing operation of an alcoholic beverage control store.Ability to provide excellent customer service.Ability to keep a calm and professional demeanor especially in stressful situations.Ability to count cash and make appropriate change for business transactions in a store.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure using whole numbers.Ability to manage multiple, concurrent priorities, and easily adapt to changing priorities.Ability to speak, read, and write English in a capacity sufficient to perform the tasks of the position.Ability to express oneself clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.Ability to learn modern retail and inventory practices.Ability to comprehensively learn and apply ABC Board policies, rules, and regulations.Ability to discern product codes and names and complete various inventory forms.Ability to keep themselves in good physical condition.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, the Board, the general public, and various groups and agencies. Working ConditionsEmployee is exposed to inside and outside environmental conditions, both hot and cold weather.Employee is exposed to cleaning agent fumes, odors, and dust.Employee is exposed to moderate to loud noises.Must be able to perform all basic life operational functions of climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, fingering, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.At times, an employee is required to work alone.Employees are subject to work in any ABC store in Wilson County as well as the ABC Warehouse.Must be able to perform heavy work exerting 100 pounds of force occasionally, 50 pounds of force frequently, and 20 pounds constantly.Must possess the visual acuity to prepare and analyze data, visually inspect, use measuring devices, and read extensively.
