Summer Learning Camp Site Coordinator

 

This position is only open to current Wilson County Schools Employees.

 

JOB GOAL

Oversee the Summer Learning Camps during the summer of 2025.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Preference will be given to applicants with Administrative licensure (ILL-A, ILL-B, ILL-P).

 

REPORTS TO Federal Programs Supervisor and Interventionist Coordinator

FLSA STATUS Non-Exempt

SCHEDULE 8 hour work day

 

Training Dates: 

  • Monday, May 5, 2025 - 4:00 - 6:00 pm in-person training @ATC
  • Thursday, May 8, 2025 - 4:00-6:00 pm in-person training @ ATC

  • Date TBD - Meet Site Principals and Parent Contacts
  • Tuesday, May 27, 2025- Work Day 
  • Wednesday, May 28, 2025 – Training and Workday
  • Thursday, May 29, 2025 – Workday / Open House
  • Friday, May 30, 2025- Work Day

 

 

Summer Sessions:

  • Monday, June 2, 2025 – Thursday, June 26, 2025- Student Attendance Days

  • Friday, June 06, 2025- Student Attendance  Day (ALL)
  • Thursday, June 19, 2025- Holiday, No School
  • Friday, June 27, 2025 - 3rd Grade Make-Up Attendance Day/Work Day/Closing
  • Site Coordinators will be expected to commit to the entire summer program

 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Prior to Summer Camps:

  • Create teaching schedules for teachers
  • Set-up the site in coordination with the building principal
  • Communicate with teachers assigned to the respective Summer Camp location
  • Communicate with students attending respective Summer Camp location
  • Other duties as assigned

During the Summer Camps:

  • Ensure health, safety and security protocols are followed
  • Support teaches implementing the summer camp curriculum with fidelity
  • Provide teachers with effective feedback conducive to a positive learning environment
  • Implement and communicate disciplinary procedures with students, teachers, and parents  
  • Communicate with necessary stakeholders as needed or required (parents, teachers, students. Transportation, ATC staff, Food Service, etc.)
  • Ensure attendance policies and protocols are followed
  • Monitor/manage arrival, dismissal, and lunch
  • Ensure staffing coverage for staff absences
  • Maintain accurate records as required for Summer Learning Camps
  • Ensure that summer learning site is well-maintained and left in good order
  • Manage distribution and collection of materials for Summer Learning
  • Other duties as assigned

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This job may require lifting or carrying of objects that exceed fifty (50) pounds, with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to twenty-five (25) pounds. Other physical demands that may be required are as follows: pushing and/or pulling, stooping and/or kneeling, reaching and/or handling, talking, hearing, seeing, and climbing.

 

WORK CONDITIONS

The role requires a normal working environment, with indoor and outdoor activities.
