ABOUT THE JOB
Wilson Daniels is a dynamic and fast-growing organization seeking a Junior Staff Accountant to join our team! The Jr. Staff Accountant is a member of the Accounting and Finance team and will report to the Senior Accounting Manager. This position is responsible for performing the day-to-day accounting activities relating to the company’s accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.
THE DAY-TO-DAY
- Prepare the weekly deposits and applications of cash receipts to the customers’ accounts, working with the AR Manager on delinquent accounts
- Prepare and record miscellaneous invoicing to customers
- Maintaining accounts payable, ensure timely payment of invoices, confirming validity of the debt and gathering appropriate approvals
- Prepare monthly customer & vendor statement reconciliations relating to accounts receivables & accounts payables
- Work cross-functionally with other departments in the organization to drive efficiency in the accounts receivable and accounts payable processes
- Support the general ledger team with special projects and ad hoc requests
AM I THE RIGHT FIT?
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting from an accredited four -year college or university.
- Microsoft Dynamics/Business Central experience is preferred
- 0-2 years of accounting experience in private industry
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including the creation and manipulation of Pivot tables, V-/H-LOOKUP, and IF-THEN formula
- Highly detailed oriented and organized
- Ability to demonstrate good business sense
- Must have personal honesty and integrity and strong work ethic
- Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet deadlines required
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with all levels of employees and management
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
