Landscape Installation Crew Lead

Job Description: We are a small, sustainably focused company looking for a talented and dedicated Landscape Installation Crew Lead to join our team. In this position you will supervise others while performing all aspects of landscape installation including rock work, planting, soil amending, sod, flagstone, edging, weed barrier, and more. To succeed in this position you should be physically fit, enjoy physically demanding work in all weather, have an attention to detail, have excellent problem solving and organizational skills, have remarkable communication skills, have above average time management skills, and be able to both follow and provide instructions.The ideal candidate will be punctual and professional with an ability to lead others.

Responsibilities

*punctual arrival on a daily basis

*follow and provide instructions

*perform all aspects of landscape installation

*train and monitor crew in all aspects of landscape installation

*use hand and power tools

*supervise the use of equipment

*operate a small loader/backhoe

*tow dump trailer

*move bulk materials such as rock or dirt in wheelbarrows

*complete inventory checks and equipment inspections

*administrative duties (T & M sheets, mileage logs)

*work as a team and work independently

*perform all work to a quality standard

*complete work in time frame allowed

*obey health and safety regulations at all times

*ensure crew members obey health and safety regulations at all times

Requirements

*physical stamina

*ability to work outdoors in all weather for entire day

*2 years landscape installation experience preferred

*knowledge of tools and equipment used in landscaping

*ability to follow instructions

*ability to provide clear verbal instructions

*excellent interpersonal skills

*strong leadership skills

*ability to lift 50 pounds

*ability to move bulk material in wheelbarrows for long periods of time

*valid drivers license

*clean driving record

*supervisory experience preferred

*irrigation knowledge helpful

*must live within 30 minutes of Ridgway
