The Department Director manages the operations of the Nursing Unit, ensuring the department provides quality care and meets all internal and external staffing requirements. This position oversees all staffing functions to ensure adherences to procedures and regulatory requirements.
Reports to: Chief Nursing Officer
Minimum Education
Associate's degree required
Bachelor’s degree must be obtained within two years of hire or transfer.

Required Skills:
1. Current NC or Multi-state RN license
2. Three years’ RN experience in a Critical Care Unit
3. Minimum 3 year’s supervisory experience
4. Ability to handle a high stress environment
5. Ability to communicate and react effectively to the needs of the patients and staff.
Required License/Certifications:
Valid NC RN License
BLS required, or obtained during first week of hire
ACLS required
