What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mfg/Industrial Engineering Intern position at Wilson Trailer Company?
Wilson Trailer, an industry leading manufacturer of Grain, Livestock, Gooseneck and Flat-bed Truck Trailers, is looking for a Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering Intern for the 2025 summer months at our manufacturing plant located in Yankton, SD
Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Review and compose operating procedures for manufacturing processes.
- Design and model fixturing and material holding equipment.
- Assist plant engineers and techs with equipment repair.
- Produce prototypes and production parts from 3D printers.
Desired Skills and Specifications:
- Able to comprehend Engineering systems, for retrieval, filing and revising of drawings and bills of material.
- Must be proficient with computers and basic office software. CAD experience beneficial.
- Must demonstrate the desire to learn and acquire product line knowledge.
- Must demonstrate the desire to learn and acquire new knowledge and skills.
Education and Qualifications:
- Industrial or Mechanical Engineering disciplines preferred.
- College Freshman or Sophomore status preferred.
- Possibility of minimal overnight travel.
- Able to work in heavy manufacturing environment.
- Must wear safety-toed boots, hard hat, & ear plugs while on work floor.
Hours:
Yankton - Monday thru Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm (40-hour work week)
Pay: This is a non-exempt position paid weekly on Fridays. Time worked in excess of 40 hours in a work-week is paid at time and one-half.
