DESCRIPTION: A Promotion Manager is someone who works to create, write rules for, market & run the casino promotions. Promotion Manager works in conjunction with advertising and marketing to help generate patrons for their promotion. They are to perform a multitude of tasks. Promotion Manager is responsible to train and prepare all staff regarding promotions. A Promotion Manager needs to possess strong written and verbal communication skills. They should be highly organized and an accomplished problem solver, as this individual deals with everyone from upper management to clients on a regular basis. They must be driven, professional, courteous, able to work well alone or with a team. They need to be organized, analytical, energetic, persuasive, and resilient. Always representing the casino in a positive manner. Filing, creating documents, taking notes, typing up memos and staying organized at all times. Title 24; Non-Safety Sensitive Position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversees the promotions departments.
- Establishes and maintains that the Promotion Department complies with internal controls, standard operating procedures, and regulations.
- Provides direction to their staff and assistance to the Director for implementation of new practices and procedures, and efficient control of promotions.
- Maintains current knowledge of and implements changes based on established policies and procedures.
- Designs, establishes, and maintains an organizational structure and staffing to effectively accomplish the organization's goals and objectives; recruits, employees, trains, supervises, and evaluates Promotion Department employees.
- Establishes and implements short- and long-range organizational goals, objectives, strategic plans, policies, and operating procedures; monitors and evaluates programmatic and operational effectiveness, and effects changes required for improvement.
- Demonstrates leadership by interacting actively and professionally.
- Attend all mandatory manager training classes.
- Performs additional duties, as necessary.
- Maintains a manageable and reasonable Overtime in the Promotion departments.

- Must have significant experience in a gaming environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Casino/Hotel/ Marketing experience is a plus. Ability to obtain/renew all government required licenses or certification. To perform this job successfully, an individual must have a track record of performing each essential responsibility satisfactorily.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Excellent communication skills both written and oral. Must possess interpersonal skills to deal effectively with business contacts and employees at all levels of the company. Must possess a strong attention to detail. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, staff, customers, and general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent, and to create and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions through decisive judgment. Ability to interpret and follow through on a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Must be a minimum of 21 years of age. Champion of Customer Service and building positive team spirit. Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekend hours and overtime as business needs dictate.
