Windermere Signature Properties, the premier residential real estate brokerage company serving the Greater Sacramento Region, has an employment opportunity for a Field Technician to join our IT Support team.
As a Field Technician, you are primarily responsible for:
- Serving as the first tier IT help desk contact for our sales agents and employees.
- Providing technical support to our sales agents and employees with their computer, mobile and general software needs.
- Performing maintenance of computers, peripherals and network equipment in a timely manner.
- Providing day to day tracking of all IT related equipment.
IT FIELD TECHNICIAN DUTIES:
- Troubleshoot hardware, software and user related computer errors as well as low network performance and connectivity issues to limit user downtime.
- Support computers (Windows and macOS), mobile devices (Android and iOS), printers, IP phones, network-connected devices, and peripherals in Windermere offices throughout the Sacramento region.
- Perform routine checks of malware, antivirus software solution to ensure proper enterprise-wide protection.
- Provide on-going preventative maintenance of Windermere IT equipment.
- Respond to requests generated from the work order system; documents troubleshooting steps and or resolutions into work order system.
- Train and assist users with software and hardware.
- Maintain the neatness and organization of data rooms, storage/workbench areas, and the company technology support vehicle.
- Escalate issues to IT Support Manager as needed
- Performs other related work as assigned.

Qualifications & Education
- Must possess excellent problem solving, critical thinking and analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve IT issues and challenges.
- Strong attention to detail and deadline oriented.
- Strong teamwork, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Must demonstrate the ability to work in a team and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of staff and management.
- Position requires frequent lifting of computer equipment up to approximately 60lbs.
- Position demands daily walking, crawling, stooping, bending, and reaching.
- Position may require unusual hours that include early morning, late evening, and weekend work.
- Must possess a valid California Driver License and maintain a good driving record.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Associates degree, technical degree or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience. A and/or Network certified is a plus
- Proficient with Google Workplace and MS Office Windows systems
- Proficient understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls). PowerShell scripting is a plus.
- Familiarity with Active Directory and cloud applications
- Knowledge of security applications and best practices
