Come join our Green Street Office Team! Green Street School is seeking a full-time Clerk to work alongside our Administrative Assistant. The Windham Southeast School District (WSESD) is an increasingly diverse community with an ongoing commitment to social justice and anti-racism. Successful candidates will be flexible in nature, work well as part of a collaborative team, be highly organized, flexible and enjoy working with elementary aged students. The Office Clerk is the first point of contact when someone enters the school, and the role of Clerk has many components, including : -record voicemails regarding absences / tardies -call home for students who are not reported absent -work with the Wellness Team to identify patterns in tardies / absences and send home letters according to the WSESU Attendance Policy -Work with school staff to help develop incentives to increase attendance -answer phones and direct calls / take messages -Maintain organization and filing of student cumulative folders -Sorts mail daily -Assist in updating the Green Street facebook page with school events and news -Design posters / flyers for the lobby or to be sent home -Assist with organization and functioning of events -Coverages for lunch and recess duty when needed -Assist with setup / functioning of events such as Kindergarten registration, PTO events, and more -All other clerical tasks that may be assigned by administration. -All of the tasks involved in this position are sensitive and require keeping confidentiality of students and staff. The successful candidate will have knowledge and understanding of FERPA and ensure privacy of all they work with. Wage grade 3, Pay range : $17.81-$24.71 based on experience. Salary : $18 - $25
