In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth registration process.

Patient Access Representative - Registration

Pay Range: $17.80 - $24.04 per hour

Full Time: Mostly weekday hours

Location: Windom, MN *not a remote position

Windom Area Health has an opening for a Patient Access Representative (1.0 FTE) to provide excellent customer service to patients. Primary roles include registering patients, following up on patient information, pre-registering, scheduling patient visits, tests and procedures, and registration desk coverage. Applicants must have a high school diploma. Previous experience in a health care setting is required, or the equivalent in a medical related degree. Mostly weekday hours, but may include some evenings/weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

• Register patients for appointments, procedures, and visits
• Verify insurance coverage and eligibility
• Schedule appointments and procedures
• Provide information and assistance to patients and their families

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a healthcare or customer service setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with computers and electronic medical records systems
