Preschool Special Education Paraprofessional
Windom Elementary School (Highland Early Childhood Learning Center)
6.2 Hours (on average) per Day
POSITION SUMMARY:
- Provide assistance to both students and teachers in implementing lesson plans.
- Work on an individual basis with students when necessary.
- Provide support within the educational setting.
- Approximate Schedule:
o Monday – 7:45 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
o Tuesday – 7:45 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
o Wednesday – 7:45 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
o Thursday – 7:45 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
o Friday – 12:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Two year or four year degree preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in a job-related field
LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, AND REGISTRATIONS: (Preferred but not required)
- Para Highly Qualified status according to current statute and union contract
- Crisis prevention intervention (CPI) training
