Preschool Special Education Paraprofessional
Windom Elementary School (Highland Early Childhood Learning Center)
9 Hours per Week – 3 Hours per Day, 3 Days per Week
POSITION SUMMARY:
- Provide assistance to both students and teachers in implementing lesson plans.
- Work on an individual basis with students when necessary.
- Provide support within the educational setting.
- Approximate Schedule – 9 Hours per Week: 3 Hours per Day, 3 Days per Week
o Monday, Wednesday, Friday – 7:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Two year or four year degree preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in a job-related field
LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, AND REGISTRATIONS: (Preferred but not required)
- Para Highly Qualified status according to current statute and union contract
- Crisis prevention intervention (CPI) training
