Job Description
The Diagnostic Imaging Specialist performs a variety of medical exams using ultrasound equipment on patients to create images of specific body parts to assist physicians in formulating a medical diagnosis while complying with safety and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology
- Knowledge of current technical skills and procedural understanding to perform a full range of scanning procedures
- Knowledge of and adherence to ALARA principles
- Basic level computer skills
- Able to operate and adjust scanning and ancillary equipment
- Able to take initiative to improve processes, think strategically, and identify trends
