Job Description:
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Drug and Alcohol Counselor
This position provides counseling and support to individuals struggling with primary substance abuse disorder and dual diagnosis.
The LCSW will work with patients throughout their treatment journey, from intake to discharge, and will collaborate with the treatment team to ensure a comprehensive recovery plan.
Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Complete intake, admission, discharge, and transfer paperwork. Document patient progress through counseling and group interactions.
- Conduct individual, group, and family counseling sessions. Educate patients on all aspects of treatment, related health issues, and steps to recovery.
- Assist in monitoring patient activities on center premises. Report patient abuse, neglect, and exploitation. Report patient grievances.
Treatment Planning:
- Develop psychosocial assessments and individualized treatment plans. Identify and address clinical and case management needs.
Compliance & Confidentiality:
- Ensure compliance with 42 CFR Part 2 and HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards.
- Maintain proper licensure and certifications. Participate in preparation for surveys and inspections.
Professionalism & Teamwork:
- Attend staff meetings. Comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Act in the best interests of the program and company. Participate in community relations activities.
- Work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
Requirements:
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker preferred
- Experience in substance abuse field is preferred
