Your Role in Our Journey

We are seeking a meticulous and organized Accounting Specialist on a temporary basis. The ideal candidate will possess strong data entry and analytical skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain accurate financial records. This role requires proficiency in Excel and Adobe, a high level of attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines. The Accounting Clerk will play a crucial role in supporting our accounting department by ensuring accurate data management, maintaining organized records, and assisting with audit preparation. This is an in-office position.

What You'll Be Uncorking

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Entry and Processing:

• • Accurately enter and process financial data, including invoices, payments, and expense reports.
  • Maintain and update accounting records with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Reconcile discrepancies and ensure data integrity

• Financial Record Keeping:
• • Procure and maintain accurate financial records and documentation per request.
  • Source and retrieve documents as needed.
  • Build and organize a comprehensive database of files to meet audit requirements.
• Audit Support:
• • Assist with the preparation of audit documentation.
  • Gather and organize financial information for auditors.
  • Ensure all records are readily accessible and organized for audit purposes.
• General Accounting Support:
• • Assist the team with fulfilling AP, AR & GL document requests for audit.
  • Generate reports and summaries as needed.
  • Respond to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
• Administrative Tasks:
• • Perform general administrative tasks, including filing, photocopying, and scanning.
  • Manage and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
• Software Proficiency:
• • Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and reconciliation.
  • Utilize Adobe software for document management and manipulation.

Qualifications:

• Proven proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including formulas, data manipulation, and reporting).
• Proficiency in Adobe software (e.g., Acrobat), including PDF creation.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Excellent data entry skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to take direction and follow established procedures.
• Ability to build and organize a database of files for audit requirements.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must be able to work in office.
• Prior experience in an accounting or administrative role is preferred.

This position requires full time, in-office work at our corporate office in Valhalla headquarters.
