Role Overview
We are seeking an Appliance / Furniture Delivery Driver to join our team! The driver will drive to deliver and pick up goods and packages while ensuring safe and efficient transportation. This position is labor intensive, requiring lifting, loading and pushing / pulling repeatedly during work hours. It also requires reaching, squatting, and bending while delivering products across a wide variety of weather conditions. At times (such as summer and other peak seasons), this position requires long work hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Adheres to company polices and presents a professional, positive attitude at all times.
- Ability to move at least 300 lbs. or more with the use of equipment or in tandem with a helper
- Able to help install and assemble all delivery products as per company guidelines for customer
- Ensure the product is inspected prior to delivery for damage
- Follow proper loading and unloading procedures according to safety guidelines
- Operate a drop lift gate to load or unload equipment without damage
- Follow safety guidelines for proper deliveries inside customer locations
- Inspect product after delivery to ensure product is not damaged
- Provide customer service at the highest level
- Able to utilize all routing guides
- Complies with all DOT guidelines
- Ability to follow maps and or GPS to unfamiliar locations
- Willing to work in warehouse when not driving
- Customer service skills
- Ability to stay overnight as needed following deliveries
Location
This position is based out of our warehouse in Perth Amboy, NJ, and the employee will report there daily.

Professional Experience
1-2 years professional work experience
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent
