Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Control Specialist to join our team. This role involves working with wood products of various species and quality controlling parts from our assembly, wood mill and stain departments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that products meet company and industry quality standards. This role involves inspecting, testing, and monitoring materials and finished goods to maintain high-quality production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections and quality tests on products and materials.
- Ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Document and report inspection findings and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Maintain and calibrate testing equipment to ensure accurate measurements.
- Assist in developing and implementing quality control procedures.
- Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues.
- Train employees on quality control standards and best practices.
Qualifications:
- At least one year of experience in quality control preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proven experience in quality control or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of quality standards (ISO, Six Sigma, etc.).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using quality inspection tools and software.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Hourly Rate: $20-$22/hr.
