JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a talented and driven DROP™ Marketing & Communications Specialist to oversee the marketing and communications efforts for our DROP Brand and other associated products. This role will be instrumental in creating and executing strategies to raise awareness, promote the benefits of DROP products, and engage key stakeholders including donors, partners, and communities we serve. The ideal candidate will have experience in both marketing and communications, with a passion for social impact and an ability to tell compelling stories that resonate with diverse audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute comprehensive marketing and communications strategies for the DROP™ brand, including messaging, content creation, and promotional campaigns.
Oversee the creation of engaging, informative, and persuasive content for various platforms, including website, social media, email newsletters, press releases, and print materials.
Oversee the management of DROP’s online presence across social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.), growing engagement and building an online community.
Coordinate the development of marketing materials, product brochures, fact sheets, and presentations to effectively communicate the value and impact of the DROP™ filter and related products.
Work closely with the development and partnerships teams to align marketing initiatives with fundraising efforts and key stakeholder outreach.
Monitor and evaluate the performance of marketing campaigns, using analytics tools to track success and make data-driven recommendations for optimization.
Cultivate relationships with media outlets and influencers to secure coverage and increase visibility for the DROP™ brand.
Collaborate with the product and innovation team to understand technical aspects of the DROP™ filter and translate these into clear, accessible messaging for diverse audiences.
Plan and support outreach events, product launches, and community engagement initiatives that promote DROP™ products and the organization’s mission.
Ensure all marketing and communications materials reflect the organization’s mission, values, and brand identity.
Maintain and optimize the DROP™ website to ensure accurate content, seamless user experience, and strong SEO performance while tracking engagement metrics for continuous improvement.
Curate, manage, and develop high-quality visual assets that align with brand identity, ensuring they are optimized for various marketing channels and platforms.
Oversee the design and production of packaging to enhance product appeal, meet regulatory standards, and effectively communicate key benefits to consumers.
Develop compelling in-store marketing materials that drive product visibility, engage shoppers, and support retail partners in promoting DROP™ effectively.
Strategize, create, and manage social media content and paid campaigns that build brand awareness, engage audiences, and drive conversions.
Produce clear, consistent internal communications and resources to align teams, support training efforts, and maintain brand messaging coherence.
Develop and distribute marketing collateral, press materials, and digital content that effectively communicate DROP™’s value proposition to consumers and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience in marketing and communications, preferably in a non-profit or product-focused environment.
Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to craft clear, concise, and compelling content for diverse audiences.
Proficiency in using marketing tools, including social media platforms, email marketing software, content management systems (e.g., WordPress), and analytics tools (Google Analytics, Hootsuite, etc.).
Experience in developing and executing marketing campaigns, both digital and traditional, to drive awareness, engagement, and action.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with external partners.
Familiarity with branding, positioning, and messaging strategies, especially in the context of product promotion.
A passion for social impact and a strong belief in the mission of Wine To Water.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the clean water or environmental sector is a plus.
Experience in consumer outdoor retail products is a plus.
Knowledge of SEO and digital marketing best practices.
Graphic design or video editing skills are a bonus.
Experience with fundraising and donor communications.
Knowledge of marketing automation tools (e.g., Mailchimp, Salesforce) is a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS, DOCUMENTATION, AND SAFETY
Sufficient physical ability to work in an office setting and operate office equipment; the employee is regularly required to bend, stoop, kneel, and at times may be required to lift 25 pounds and can be exposed to indoor, outdoor temperatures and various living situations. Must be able to operate motorized vehicles with a valid license.
Required domestic and international travel documentation and vaccinations for entry into foreign countries may be necessary to perform this role - This role may be in high-risk zones and require documentation and medical clearance by various governments to enter disaster areas with significant public health risks.
Exceptional understanding of risk management policies and best practices
Adhere to WTW’s safety action plan and procedures.
This position will involve a combination of office-based tasks and fieldwork. Occasional travel may be required to visit communities and attend meetings or events.
Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to accommodate community outreach or program deadlines.
