JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a talented and passionate Video Editor to join Wine To Water’s creative team. In this role, you will contribute to the design and development of impactful video content that communicates our organization’s message to diverse audiences. The ideal candidate will be a creative problem solver, have a strong eye for detail, and be able to work collaboratively with other team members to produce high-quality video content.
Overview:
Wine To Water (WTW) is seeking a skilled and creative Video Editor & Motion Graphics Designer to support our marketing and communications efforts on a contractual basis. This role will operate under a monthly retainer agreement, with an expected commitment of approximately 20 hours per week. This role will be instrumental in producing video content that informs, inspires, and engages our audience across platforms. You’ll work closely with our communications and program teams to shape narratives, animate concepts, and bring our mission to life through compelling visual storytelling.
Key Responsibilities:
Edit video content including interviews, event recaps, social media clips, and short and long-form content
Design and animate motion graphics to enhance video content (lower thirds, logo animations, explainer graphics, etc.)
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to storyboard and conceptualize content ideas
Ensure all media aligns with brand guidelines and accessibility standards
Manage multiple video projects simultaneously with attention to quality and deadlines
Export, compress, and deliver video files in various formats for different platforms (web, social, email, presentations)
Maintain organized media libraries and project files
Qualifications:
2 years of professional experience in video editing and motion graphics (non-profit or mission-based experience a plus)
Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop
Demonstrated ability to tell impactful stories through video and animation
Excellent visual design sense and attention to detail
Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines independently
Familiarity with social media video formats and trends (Instagram Reels, YouTube, TikTok, etc.)
Bonus: Experience with sound mixing, captioning tools, or color correction
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with non-profit organizations or mission-driven campaigns
Knowledge of accessibility standards for video content (e.g., captioning, contrast, readability)
Familiarity with storytelling principles specific to fundraising, advocacy, or educational content
Basic understanding of video marketing metrics and optimization for engagement
Comfort working in cloud-based project management and file-sharing tools (e.g., Asana, Trello, Google Drive, Dropbox)
Experience with camera operation and on-site video production (not required, but a plus)
Bilingual or multilingual skills for creating content in multiple languages
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS, DOCUMENTATION, AND SAFETY
Contractor Responsibilities:
The contractor is responsible for their own workspace, equipment, and any necessary software to fulfill the role.
If travel is required for WTW-related work, it must be pre-approved, and reimbursement policies will be outlined in the contractor agreement.
While performing work on behalf of WTW, the contractor agrees to follow all applicable safety guidelines and policies when working in designated environments (e.g., events, field sites).
