ESSENTIAL PURPOSE: The Membership Sales Associate is responsible for driving membership growth and retention by providing exceptional customer service, actively selling wine and club memberships, and executing targeted customer outreach. This role plays a critical part in expanding our community of wine enthusiasts by fostering meaningful relationships, identifying sales opportunities, and ensuring seamless order fulfillment.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Customer Outreach
- Proactively drive wine club sign-ups by engaging with customers via phone, email, and text.
- Follow up on leads from tasting room visits, online purchases, and events to convert interest into sales.
- Develop relationships with members to increase retention, upsell additional purchases, and drive referrals.
- Contact lapsed members to encourage re-enrollment through personalized outreach and exclusive offers.
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and sales progress in the CRM system.
Order Processing & Membership Management
- Assist in executing all aspects of wine club processing, including payment conversions, declines, and ensuring timely order fulfillment.
- Manage the membership database, ensuring accurate customer records, preferences, and order history.
- Communicate and resolve returned shipments with customers to ensure successful delivery.
Member Engagement & Event Sales
- Sell tickets and promote attendance at exclusive wine club events to enhance member engagement.
- Assist in executing member events, ensuring a VIP experience that fosters loyalty and additional sales.
Additional Responsibilities
- Stay informed about the PlumpJack Collection of Wineries’ offerings to provide knowledgeable recommendations.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of the membership program.
JOB KNOWLEDGE & EDUCATIONAL LEVEL:
- College diploma or equivalent required.
- Proven experience in sales, hospitality, or customer service; wine industry experience is a plus.
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel, CRM software, and internet-based applications.
