What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registrar/Receptionist position at Winfield Park District?
Job Description/Qualifications: Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, good typing skills, computer skills, and excellent oral and written communication skills.
Essential Functions:
1. Serve as receptionist, greet patrons, check membership passes, answer questions, and provide specific program information.
2. Perform daily office operations such as opening and closing procedures, process facility rental request forms.
3. Perform necessary registration functions including, but not limited to enrollment, transfers, wait-lists, printing of reports, and data entry.
4. Review daily facility activities and upcoming events, be familiar with current programs.
5. Maintain professional, diplomatic, and friendly relationship with customers.
6. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front counter.
7. Perform miscellaneous tasks as needed by superiors such as the assembly of packets, copying, class calls, mailings, and other duties as assigned.
8. Load paper stock, load printers, registers, etc.
Marginal Functions:
1. Perform the job in compliance with District policies, procedures, work rules, and the employee handbook.
2. Perform job in the safest manner possible and in compliance with District Safety Policies and Procedures.
3. Promote Park District events and programs.
4. Work in a cooperative effort to achieve department and park district. goals.
5. Work additional hours upon request.
This position is Monday through Wednesday from 8:45-5. Occasional Saturday hours from 8:45-12 p.m.
