What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head Server/Manager position at Wing Point Golf & CC?
Private Club currently looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager to help oversee the day-to-day operations and special event execution of the service staff. The ideal applicant will have a strong background in the service industry as a server as well as bartending experience and be available to work a variety of shifts including days, nights, weekends and holidays as needed. Duties
FOH Server/Manager - Member Services and Events
Oversee daily service operations of Front of House
Scheduling, Budget and Invoicing
Maintain timely server schedule and adhere to labor budget prepared by GM, chef and club finance committee.
Submit all invoices in a timely manner to accounting department and understand/learn coding of income statement.
Employees and Staffing
Interview and coordinate the on-boarding process of new hires.
Be a point of contact with new employees (introduction, friendly, help the new people get settled and not get met with a terrible first day)
Train staff as to policies on charging and ringing - Voiding mistakes and be proactive
Foretees App as menu creation and updating.
Menu
Ensure all FOH staff is up to date on current menu offerings for food and beverage as well as bar and pool.
Aide in new menu implementation in Jonas - weekly
Inventory
Coordinate with Bar Manager or Executive Chef on any bar needs to maintain appropriate inventories and supplies as needed for service and events.
Events
Execution (from set-up through breakdown) along with club presentation “tour of club” ready always
Coordinate with Executive Chef on all events in ensure proper execution.
Grow member engagement by promoting and selling current and new events.
Special events - ensure a successful setup, execution and completion of each event.
Follow up with each client/member within 1 week to ensure that every aspect of the event was a success and address any issues as needed.
Member Events - grow member engagement by promoting and selling current and new membership events. Working with golf staff, pool staff, etc. to coordinate member guests, division play, etc. with food and beverage needs, entertainment, and coordination.
House Committee – work directly with House Committee, GM, Chef and events sub-committee on Calendar of Member Events, annual scheduling, type of events, pricing, profit/loss approach, and demographic coordination (family, couples, men’s women’s, wine, etc…)
Bar operations - ensure proper cocktail and bar recipes are being followed as directed by GM or Executive Chef
Personal Standard - Set employee example of what we expect from the rest of the staff including timeliness, daily tasks, opening, closing, and communication with membership and staff
Member engagement
Promote new and upcoming events as well as daily, weekly, or monthly member specials that may be available.
Aide in customer complaint resolution, when necessary, under direction and rules set by the Executive Chef and Wing Point Board
Be a point of contact with new employees (introduce yourself, be friendly, help the new people get settled)
Report - directly to the Chef on all member comments, complaints, or suggestions or employee hr issues as they happen or as soon as possible.
HR - Handle employee discipline or termination in an effective and lawful manner with approval of Executive Chef and/or General Manager
