What are the responsibilities and job description for the Night Auditor position at Wingate by Wyndham?
Our hotel is hiring a Night Auditor to review and verify all nightly financial activities, log transactions and handle cashiering duties. You should be comfortable working with customers and possess a pleasant demeanor. As a night auditor, you will ensure our business runs smoothly at night by monitoring the status of all financial activities. You must be good with numbers, organized and have attention to detail. A high level of customer service is important as you will most likely be the last person our guests interact with before departing for their destinations. Ultimately, you should ensure our hotel is financially successful by monitoring financial transactions and accounting records during your shifts.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the hotel’s financial books for the night.
- Review and reconcile all incoming invoices and make necessary adjustments.
- Charge all of the day’s expenses to appropriate accounts.
- Pay bills to utility companies, contractors etc., according to the company’s policy.
- Verify that all services needed for the next day are scheduled and in order (food, linens etc.).
- Make initial call to kitchen and confirm that breakfast is set up in advance.
- Direct any last-minute requests or issues directly to the manager on duty (e.g. repairing a broken vending machine).
- Answer phone when necessary.
- Check that rooms have been cleaned and service is in line with standards.
- Review hotel’s security system and perform general security checks as necessary (e.g. locks on windows).
- Perform periodic checks for missing items, breakages or damages .
- Complete any other duties assigned by the manager on duty .
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: Up to $13.50 per hour
