Hotel Maintenance

Position Purpose: Maintain all inside and outside Hotel areas and assets to an acceptable quality standard that maintains the hotel's #1 ranking in the market.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Provides professional and courteous service at all times.
• Performs required janitorial tasks complete and on time. These include trash removal, policing outdoor areas, and maintaining attractive landscaping.
• Performs assigned guest room and public areas maintenance and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Ensures assigned projects are completed according to specifications and on time.
• Understands and practices all lock out-tag out procedures in accordance with OSHA standards.
• Performs maintenance checks of equipment and logs properly.
• Reports all safety and security concerns to the General Manager or Owner.
• Ensures all tools, supplies, and key inventories are secure.
• Responds to all emergency situations, prepared to assist.
• Ensures cleanliness and orderliness of maintenance shop and storage areas.
• Attends staff meetings as required.

To do this work, you must be able to:

• Demonstrate at least 2 years' previous hotel maintenance experience.
• Demonstrate basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and painting.
• Understand the technologies required for the work you are responsible for.
• Work with a variety of situations.
• Solve problems using facts and personal judgment.
• React quickly in emergency situations and possibly make decisions that may affect significant cost and/or the safety of others.
• Change easily and frequently from one activity to another.
• Be available on nights, weekends and holidays as scheduled/needed.

Physical Demands: Lifting 150 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs. Requires walking or standing to a significant degree, reaching, handling, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing.

Environmental Conditions: Both: Inside and outside: A job is considered "both" if the activities occur inside or outside in approximately equal amounts approximately 75% or more of the time inside.
