What are the responsibilities and job description for the SAY – Social Advocates for Youth Intern position at Wingspan Care Group?
SAY – Social Advocates for Youth –Under the administrative/clinical supervision of the SAY Director and/or Coalition Coordinator, the SAY Intern provides services in suburban middle and high schools as well as in the community. Services are prevention focused, NOT treatment and include a full array of prevention services including one to one support or crisis management with students, classroom and community education, small group, and peer led prevention. Field hours are flexible and could include some evenings or weekends if able.

- Brief individual interventions
- Classroom presentations
- Assisting in organizing and planning community presentations
- Assisting in peer lead prevention meetings and events
- Attending community collaborative meetings
- Participating in SAY Collaborative meetings
- Co-facilitating educational groups
- Completion of grant funded deliverables
- Participation in parent prevention meetings
