WINGSTOP RESTAURANTS, INC.

ROLE PROFILE DESCRIPTION

WHO WE ARE

We’re not in the wing business. We’re in the flavor business. It’s been our mission to Serve the World Flavor since we first opened in 1994, and we’re just getting started. 1997 saw the opening of our first brand partner operated Wingstop location, and by 2002 we had served the world one billion wings. It’s flavor that defines us and has made Wingstop one of the fastest growing brands in the restaurant industry.

Above all else – our success is largely due to our people and our core values, or what we call The Wingstop Way of being entrepreneurial, service-minded, fun, and authentic. We believe having a strong people foundation centered on these collective values creates a crave-worthy culture and talented team, as well as ensures our brand is poised for accelerated growth. We all win together.

WHAT WE’LL NEED

The Human Resource Business Partner, Corporate Restaurants will develop and implement strategies, plans, and programs to drive HR excellence across company-owned restaurants in the US. This role will partner closely with field leadership to support the unique needs of the restaurant teams, enhancing employee engagement, retention, and development.

  • Provide HR leadership and support to field HR Business Partners/Recruiters, fostering a collaborative environment that aligns with organizational values.
  • Guide, train, and support field leadership, including Vice Presidents of Operations and District Managers, in the execution of HR policies and processes to ensure compliance with legal and corporate standards.
  • Assess field leadership effectiveness and partner with them to develop and implement individual and team development plans.
  • Drive talent acquisition strategies for all positions within company-owned restaurants, ensuring a strong pipeline of talent at all levels.
  • Lead and support the investigation process for employee concerns, consulting on solutions and follow-up actions.
  • Regularly visit restaurants to assess organizational health, providing recommendations for improvements to General Managers and District Managers.
  • Develop and manage recognition programs to enhance team member engagement and motivation.
  • Analyze HR metrics and data to make informed business decisions and recommendations for restaurant operations.
  • Implement repeatable processes to build a strong talent bench and improve engagement and retention across all levels in corporate-owned restaurants.
  • Support the onboarding and development of new leaders within the organization.
  • Address and resolve employee questions and concerns promptly.
  • Requires up to 75% travel to company-owned restaurant locations.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in HR, with a focus on supporting multi-site locations, employee relations, talent development, and field-based HR strategy.
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, legal compliance, and employee relations in a field environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Proven track record of influencing field leaders, driving HR initiatives, and fostering a positive workplace culture.
  • Preferred HR certification, such as SHRM or PHR.
  • Experience using data analytics and HR reporting tools to make informed decisions and improve field operations.
  • Comprehensive understanding of HR disciplines relevant to field operations, including employee relations, performance management, diversity and inclusion, talent acquisition, compliance with federal and state employment laws, and effective use of HRIS.
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to connect HR strategies to broader operational goals in a dynamic field setting.

WHO YOU ARE

SWEEP THE FLOOR – No job is too small. You recognize that the real work happens in the restaurants, and everything we do should support their success. You stay humble, roll up your sleeves, and always look for ways to help. You learn from others and contribute wherever you can.

GIVE A $H!T – You care deeply about doing great work and driving results. You’re curious, ask questions, and seek out opportunities to improve. You don’t just point out problems—you bring solutions, ideas, and perspectives that move the team forward.

OWN IT – You take full responsibility for your work and see things through to completion. You aren’t afraid to fail because you know that failure is a part of learning and growth. You take action, move fast, and keep pushing forward.

NO A$$HOLES – You lead with empathy, respect, and emotional intelligence. You collaborate effectively, fostering a culture of trust and constructive feedback. You understand the importance of teamwork and ensure that your actions build others up rather than break them down.

IRON SHARPENS IRON – You push yourself and others to be better. You embrace healthy conflict, knowing that great ideas and strong teams emerge from honest, constructive conversations. You believe that leaders create leaders and are committed to fostering a culture of growth, challenge, and continuous improvement.
