What are the responsibilities and job description for the CSR Billing position at Winick Realty Group?
This position assists agents, insureds and mortgage companies with policy and billing related inquiries. This position is responsible for working with their team to achieve designated service standards and assist others to meet those standards. This position also processes premium payments, suspense applications and issues refund checks. In addition, it involves data entry, filing, oral and written communication, working knowledge of the Billing system, as well as reviewing and balancing reports. This position is also responsible for workflow tracking, quality control, training, CSR procedural support and the fostering of team, departmental and company relationships and promoting positive agency affiliations. Position may also require performing job functions within other departments as assigned

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Answers telephone inquiries from agents, insured, mortgage companies and internal personnel in a courteous and professional manner.
Processes premium and suspense payments received at the home office.
Performs the daily remote deposit for in-house premium payments and miscellaneous receivables, including preparation of the cash receipt voucher.
Returns late and / or insufficient premium payments that could not be applied to insured accounts.
Processes return premium and cancellation checks.
Maintain organization of digital files per guidelines.
Reviews and mails debt collection correspondence, tracks collection results, and submits outstanding debts to collection agency as necessary.
Processes necessary policyholder account adjustments resulting from bank errors and non-sufficient fund transactions. This includes preparation of supporting documentation for related journal entries and policyholder notification.
Understanding of WRG's software programs and ability to handle inquiries from internal and external customers.
Troubleshoot and report problems to immediate supervisor that result from processing errors.
Work closely with Underwriters and their respective managers to achieve departmental service standards.
Demonstrate leadership skills, positive attitude and create a favorable experience for the customers contacting the department.
May be required to perform job functions of other areas within the Business Operations Department.
Assists with other miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Billing Service Supervisor.

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE
1 years previous office related experience preferred
Introductory education course will be required if no prior insurance experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a changing work environment
Excellent PC and Data Entry skills
Ambitious and self-motivated
Exceptional interpersonal communication skills
Strong prioritization and organizational skills
Ability to think "Outside the Box"
Prior Billing / Accounting experience a plus
LANGUAGE SKILLS
The individual must be able to effectively and clearly communicate with internal and external customers via telephone, fax, e-mail, text messaging, one-on-one dialogue and small group presentations in a highly professional manner.
