What are the responsibilities and job description for the EHS Specialist position at Winit America Inc?
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Meeting with the management team to define EHS goals and objectives.
- Conducting inspections and identifying hazards and EHS violations. Develops health and safety procedures for all areas of the company.
- Providing solutions and intervention strategies for hygiene, health, and safety hazards.
- Monitoring operational processes and employee activities.
- Generating assessment documentation, incident and accident reports
- Reporting to management, OSHA, and other regulatory agencies.
- Preparing and submitting health and safety compliance documents to the relevant organizations.
- Keeping abreast of the latest EHS trends, policies, regulations, and best practices.
- Develops and implements inspection policies and procedures, and a schedule of routine inspections.
- Prepares and schedules training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics.
- Drafts inspection reports to document inspection findings.
- Ensures that material safety data sheets are maintained and readily accessible when needed.
- Maintains records of discharge of or employee exposure to hazardous waste and/or pollutants, as required.
- Organize records and archive paperwork so it can be found when needed most by other departments or personnel who might require its services.
- Upload digital files and data. Develop an effective document storage and filing system and digitizing hard copies of documents.
- Trouble shooting computers, printers, fax machines, scanners, shredders and others.
- Calling for maintenance and repairs of various as needed.
- Answering phone calls and emails regarding documentation organization
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- knowledge of environmental regulations and policies.

- Proficient in technology and equipment used in environmental inspections.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in administration, laws, engineering, management, supply chain, logistics, environmental science or similar.
- OSHA or similar EHS certification.
- Detailed knowledge of relevant regulations such as OSHA, EPA, and ANSI.
Physical Requirements:
- Physically able to conduct inspections and carry equipment used for inspections.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $52,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
