Superintendent – Retail Construction

Winkel Construction, Inc., a leader in retail construction in the Southeast, is seeking an experienced Superintendent to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in retail tenant interiors and freestanding projects with site development, up to $4 million.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Management: Oversee freestanding projects with site development, ensuring successful execution.
• Retail Construction Experience: Prior experience in retail tenant interior construction is highly preferred.
• Communication & Coordination: Maintain clear communication with stakeholders and manage subcontractors effectively.
• Organizational Skills: Demonstrate strong planning abilities to ensure timely and efficient project completion.
• Technical Expertise: Read blueprints, schedule workflows, and oversee all construction phases.
• Travel Requirement: This role requires 100% travel to various project sites throughout the Southeast.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Proven track record in construction management, especially in projects within the $1–$4 million range.
• Computer Proficiency: Ability to utilize construction-related software for planning and execution. (Procore)

·        Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Ability to effectively engage with clients, subcontractors, and team members while maintaining a professional and service-oriented approach.
