What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hospital Admissions Clerk position at Winkler County Hospital District?
The position of the Admissions Clerk is to be the "greeter" for the facility. They assist the nurses and providers and act as intermediary in assisting patient needs and in answering phone calls in a timely and efficient manner. This candidate must be able to communicate in an effective manner, follow written or verbal instructions and demonstrate good interpersonal skills to deal with team members, patients and family members. Competent in Microsoft Office Word and excel. Possess basic math skills. Maintain discretion and confidentiality in communications. Must be able to multi-task with ease and use slow or down time efficiently.
Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
