We have an opportunity for a technologist who is responsible for the overall performance, stability, and security of our IT systems, with a strong focus on service delivery and vendor management.
In this hands-on role you will manage, design and maintain all corporate information systems relating to internal and third-party hardware and software. This includes maintaining the corporate office computer network, ensuring timely assistance with regard to set-up, upgrades, troubleshooting, and repairs and ensuring the security of the company's information systems by implementing and maintaining robust cybersecurity measures.
A successful candidate must be able to work effective independently, and be a team player that can flex to business needs. This position reports to the VP of Technology.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain both short-term and long-term roadmaps for Company’s technology infrastructure.
- Manage, maintain, support and troubleshoot multi-platform network and communication systems.
- Install, troubleshoot, and support company systems and applications including testing and deployment of all software upgrades, system security including back-ups, logins, and anti-virus.
- Provide customer service and support to all internal computer systems by troubleshooting servers, desktop PC’s, laptops, and support for employees’ mobile devices. Maintain user profiles and logins.
- Analyze business processes, assist in research, and recommend and implement technology solutions to improve efficiency.
- Meet with new employees to provide a thorough orientation in technology tools and company installed software applications, ensuring they are familiar with the policies surrounding the systems and basics of applications.
- Establish and maintain relationships with external vendors and service providers to ensure the best possible service and pricing.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, and prepare for and participate in IT audits.
- Develop and deliver training programs for staff to enhance their technical skills and knowledge of company systems.
Primary qualifications include:
- BS degree in Computer Science or Engineering preferred
- Strong preference for an individual who holds one or more of the following certifications: MCSE, MCSA, CCNA, or MCP.
- 5 years’ experience in network and system administration.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Working knowledge of multi-platform networks, telecom systems, cooling systems, MS Exchange, MS CRM, MS SQL, SharePoint, SonicWALL security, Windows Server/Client Operating Systems, Symantec Altiris, Symantec Email Security, Symantec Endpoint Protection, Disaster Recovery and multiple routed highly available Internet solutions.
- Must have excellent customer service skills, with excellent verbal and written communication skills, including a high level of tact, diplomacy, and confidentiality in all interactions.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage projects and be able to handle multiple priorities with strong organizational skills.
This is an onsite position at Winmark’s Plymouth, Minnesota location. Annual salary is $120,000 - $145,000K DOQ, plus discretionary profit-sharing and a great benefits package.
